The NAIS People of Color Conference is the flagship of NAIS’s commitment to equity and justice in teaching, learning, and sustainability for independent schools. This year’s theme—Meeting the Moment: Anchoring and Enriching Our Education Futures—is a call to action for the unique time we’re experiencing.

The NAIS Student Diversity Leadership Conference is a multiracial, multicultural gathering of student leaders from eligible independent high schools across the U.S. and abroad.

Janna Barkin, author, educator, and coach, will delve into the journey of families with transgender, nonbinary, or gender-diverse youth. This session offers practical insights and empathetic guidance for fostering open communication and understanding within the family. This program will support educators, parents, grandparents, family, friends, colleagues, social workers, therapists, and community members.

Thrive 2025 is the premier professional development and networking event for administrators, trustees, and teachers at independent schools.

Led by experienced senior leaders in diverse roles, CATDC’s retreat for women in senior leadership positions will build community for women-identified leaders as they navigate the opportunities and challenges of varied positions. Facilitators will design a retreat that addresses the inherent complexity of senior leadership work.
