Men of Color + Leadership is dedicated to creating connections and establishing a supportive community that understands the unique joys, challenges, and opportunities faced by leaders who are men of color in independent schools.

Men of Color + Leadership is dedicated to creating connections and establishing a supportive community that understands the unique joys, challenges, and opportunities faced by leaders who are men of color in independent schools. The workshop will facilitate conversations specific to attendees’ current roles and exchange insights that can directly impact their day-to-day responsibilities.

This experiential two-day workshop offers K-12 educators, administrators, counselors and advisors the opportunity to learn how to build classroom practices and school-wide systems that nurture the social and emotional health of all members of the community.

This three-hour workshop, led by the Redbud Resource Group, will support independent school educators across California in deepening their cultural and historical understanding of Native communities, land acknowledgment practices, and their personal and school relationships with Native peoples.

Join an interactive teaching lab focused on instructional rounds, one of the most effective tools for fostering teacher growth and development. Instructional leaders will offer school leadership and teacher leaders a chance to learn about the theory and practice behind instructional rounds and their connection to schools’ instructional core. This program includes multiple in-person and virtual sessions.

This ongoing virtual program, with five session from October 2024 through April 2025, is for K-12 educators who have experience beyond the early years of teaching and who are looking to reflect and expand on their practice. CATDC will explore effective strategies and foster the exchange of ideas in a supportive cohort to address some of the challenges that are hindering participants’ ability to shine as their best selves as educators.

Attend this NAIS webinar to focus on three specific ways to help your faculty grow, no matter what their age or stage. You’ll come away with several concrete ideas for supporting all your faculty. 

In this program, which includes multiple virtual sessions, participants who self-identify as queer and/or trans and participants who are active allies for queer and trans communities will meet throughout the school year to build and strengthen their practices as educators in supporting and empowering queer and trans students, staff, and folks within their school communities.

To provide a forum for connection, NAIS is offering online meetups for Executive Assistants and Support Staff. These free, hour-long get-togethers offer an opportunity to connect in small groups and discuss topics of your choice as you get to know others who do what you do.

This online program, which includes sessions from October 2024 through April 2025, is designed for educators who are interested in strengthening their AI skills while exploring how to engage students in productive, ethical use of generative AI tools. By bringing together educators from different schools for learning, discussion, and practice, this program aims to not just deliver knowledge, but share it.
