2024 SDLC Registration Information

2024 NAIS Student Diversity Leadership Conference registration is now open. Accepted schools will receive an email with their registration link and instructions.

 

Key Dates 

  • September 4: Registration Opens: Member schools that have already been accepted through the SDLC Lottery process received an email on September 4 that contains a link to register their chaperone(s) and student delegation. The registration cost is $875 per student delegate.
  • October 4: Registration Closes: All students and chaperones must be registered by this date.
  • October 25: Last date to submit all required SDLC forms.

*IMPORTANT: Please be certain about the number of students, because NAIS will not be able to increase your student delegation size after the lottery takes place. NO EXCEPTIONS.


What You’ll Need to Register for SDLC  

  • Download Required Forms: Access and download the SDLC forms, including the Student Participant Handbook, and gather registration information for your students.  
  • Assign Registration Duties: Decide who will be responsible for registering your student delegates.  
  • Select Chaperones: Choose the chaperones who will accompany your students. NAIS requires one primary and one secondary chaperone per delegation. Both chaperones must participate in a mandatory onsite Chaperone Orientation session for students to participate in SDLC.
  • Register Your Delegates: Complete the registration process by the October 4 deadline.
  • Submit All Forms: Ensure that all required SDLC forms are completed and submitted via the registration portal by October 25, 2024.
 

2024 SDLC Schedule Changes

SDLC students will start each conference day (Thursday and Friday, December 5-6) at 7:00 AM MT. On Thursday morning, 7:00-8:00 AM, a Grab-n-Go continental breakfast will be available for registered chaperones and their student delegation before heading over to the Opening General Session. Badges and wristbands are required for access. Chaperones will remain with their students until the end of the Opening General Session. Students will remain seated while adults depart for PoCC programming. On Friday, chaperones will drop off their student delegation for breakfast at 7:00 AM at the Hyatt Regency, which is directly across the street from the Colorado Convention Center. On both days, lunch and an afternoon snack will also be provided. Each day ends at 6:00 PM MT, and students must be picked up by their chaperones no later than 6:30 PM MT.
