Purchasing and Shipping

• Orders must be paid in U.S. dollars.
• For online orders, NAIS accepts payment by credit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover) only.
• For phone orders, NAIS accepts payment by credit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover) only.
• Institutional purchase orders for orders of $50 or more.

1. Go to the NAIS Bookstore, and browse through alphabetic lists of books, magazine issues, and booklets offered by NAIS. Click on a title to read more.
2. Start by clicking on the "ADD TO CART" button.
3. Enter the quantity of books you wish to order, and click on "PROCEED TO CHECKOUT" to complete your order or “CONTINUE SHOPPING.”
4. To review your order at any time, click on "VIEW SHOPPING CART," in the upper right hand corner. You can remove items, change quantities, choose a method of payment, and recalculate the amount due. To remove an item from your shopping cart, set the quantity to zero and click “UPDATE ORDER.”
5. If you have selected "PROCEED TO CHECKOUT," you will be prompted to fill in your billing and shipping information. Certain fields are required. At the bottom of this screen, you will select a shipping method. Read “Shipping Options” below for pricing.
6. The next screen will ask for credit card information.
7. Please note that you must be logged in – either as an NAIS member or with a nonmember web account – to make a purchase. If you are not a member, and do not yet have an account, you will be prompted to create one.
8. Once you have submitted your order, you will see an order confirmation screen, and you will receive an order confirmation e-mail that lists your order number, items purchased, shipping method, and billing and shipping information. A payment receipt will be included with your order.
9. Note also that you can browse the new 2009-2010 Virtual Publications and Products Catalog. It's interactivity makes ordering easy and self-explanatory.

• Titles or item numbers of the books you wish to order, plus quantities
• Credit card information

NAIS offers a 20 percent discount on orders of five or more copies of the same title sent to the same address. You can take advantage of this discount via phone or online orders.

Washington, DC, residents (unless tax exempt) must add 5.75 percent sales tax. Maryland residents (unless tax exempt) must add 5 percent.

All orders are sent via UPS Standard Shipping (up to 10 business days).

• $13 for orders of $50 – $99.99
• $14 for orders of $100 – $199.99
• $16 for orders of $200 – $299.99
• $22 for orders of $300 – $749.99
• $28 for orders of $750 +

Expedited Shipping and Handling, United States (including Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico)

Expedited orders must be placed by 2:00 pm E.S.T.

You may choose from two options:

• Next Day Air: $10 rush fee, plus 25 percent of your total product amount
• Two-Day Air: $10 rush fee, plus 20 percent of your total product amount

Regular Shipping and Handling to Canada

• $20 for orders of $0 - $49.99 
• $25 for orders of $50 – $99.99
• $40 for orders of $100 – $199.99
• $55 for orders of $200 – $299.99
• $70 for orders of $300-$749.99
• $95 for orders of $750+

You may return any book within 30 days in its original, salable condition for any reason for a full refund. Book buyers must pay shipping charges on returned orders. Ship returns to:
