Annual Conference

The NAIS Annual Conference, held each year in late February/early March, is the largest gathering of independent school leaders, administrators, and teachers.

People of Color Conference

The NAIS People of Color Conference, held each year in late November/early December, is a gathering for people of color to expand their sense of belonging in independent schools, and for all people committed to diversity work to learn how to advance, build, and sustain inclusive school communities.

Professional Calendar

The Professional Calendar provides a month-by-month glance at conference opportunities offered by NAIS as well as by state and regional independent school associations. You can also submit your own event to be posted on the Calendar by clicking on Professional Calendar and then "Submit Your Event."

Leadership Development and NAIS Summer Institutes

NAIS offers national conferences as well as intensive Summer Institutes. Together, these opportunities provide leadership and professional development for individuals in many roles in schools and at many stages in their careers.

NAIS Fellowship for Aspiring School Heads

The NAIS Fellowship for Aspiring School Heads provides partial financial support to qualified individuals at NAIS member schools who aspire to become heads of independent schools. These individuals take part in a comprehensive course of professional development over the course of one year.

Challenge 20/20 Program

Global problem-solving teams in action! Challenge 20/20 pairs up a U.S. school with a school in another country, and together the student-teacher teams tackle global problems. Find out more about applying for this program and read profiles of past participants.
